In 1890, Francesco Divella founded the first grain mill in Rutigliano, an agricultural town near Bari, Italy, but it was not until 1905 that Dibella began producing pasta. Davina is known worldwide for its "Mediterranean Passion" and the high quality products created by four generations, and has always maintained the highest quality standards for durum wheat pasta production in the world. As one of Italy's best-known pasta brands, Davina produces 1,000 tons of dried pasta, 35 tons of fresh pasta and 60 tons of biscuits every day, with more than 150 pasta shapes to meet the needs of different consumers, with sales of 326 million euros in 2016, 35% of which came from exports.
 
Davina pasta is extruded using bronze molds, and during the rolling process, the dough is squeezed through a cavity with a specific shape, which is shaped by a knife that cuts it to a specific length, giving the pasta a rough and powdery surface that absorbs water quickly when cooked, and is also better able to hold the sauce and therefore taste better when eaten. Davina pasta has a relatively chewy taste, and it is not rotten after being cooked for a long time, and the price is about 20 yuan per 500g.
