Knife 刀唛 Hong Kong
Knife mark is the largest brand of edible oil in Hong Kong, and has long been deeply rooted in the hearts of the people in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao, with sales accounting for 30% of the Hong Kong edible oil market and about 17% of the Shenzhen market, and has been rated as an Asian super brand by Reader's Digest for 6 consecutive years. In terms of scale and revenue, Lam Soon, the parent company of Knife Mark, is a well-deserved leader in Hong Kong's food industry, but Lam Soon is not limited to the Hong Kong market, with only 14.88% of its revenue in the 2016/2017 financial year coming from the Hong Kong and Macau markets, and the other 85.12% coming from the mainland market. With the expansion of Lam Soon's market channels in recent years, the recognition of its products in the mainland market has gradually increased, and the knife mark has also expanded from South China to the North China and Central China markets. The types of edible oil are not abundant, but the products are eye-catching, especially the blended oil, which fully considers the nutritional value of the oil. Previously, China's blended oil had been questioned due to the unclear composition ratio, but in 2018, a new national standard was introduced, requiring brands to indicate the proportion of various vegetable oils, and standardizing the labeling of blended oil products. Under the supervision of the new standard, a more nutritionally balanced blended oil should be more worthy of promotion than a single oil type.
