How about Knife Knife Marks Canola Oil Brand introduction

In China, rapeseed oil is the second largest edible oil after soybean oil, and people in the Sichuan-Chongqing region often use rapeseed oil to make authentic Sichuan dishes. Canola oil is a kind of canola oil with low erucic acid, compared with traditional rapeseed oil, erucic acid and glucosinolate content are lower, subject to cost and flavor problems, the popularity of canola oil is far less than that of traditional rapeseed oil, and only in first-tier cities such as Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou, which are deeply affected by foreign food trends, has a higher acceptance. At present, there are very few domestic brands that produce canola oil, and the typical representative is Hong Kong knife mark, which has not been in the canola oil market for a long time, but has a certain reputation in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.

Knife Mark belongs to Lam Soon Group, a large enterprise in Singapore, whose edible oil business entered Hong Kong in the 60s of the 20th century, and has become a leader in the industry since then, and has been awarded the "Q-Mark Quality Product Scheme" certificate and "Hong Kong Top Brand" certification issued by the Quality Mark Council of the Federation of Hong Kong Industries. The former is based on the test results of laboratories recognized by the Hong Kong government, and special personnel go to the factory every month to evaluate and inspect to ensure stable product quality. In recognition of the latter's achievements in brand development, the knife mark won the "Hong Kong Top Brand", "Hong Kong Excellent Brand" and "Hong Kong Top Brand Ten Year Achievement Award" in 1999, 2008 and 2009 respectively.

As the overlord of Hong Kong's edible oil market, the production equipment and processing technology of the knife mark are very advantageous, and the introduction of advanced automated production lines from developed countries such as Sweden, France, Belgium, etc., the workshop has strict safety and health requirements such as microorganisms, heavy metals and aflatoxin, compared with the traditional small workshop production, the safety of oil products is obviously more guaranteed. In terms of processing technology, the physical pressing method is used to extract the various components of the oil, and the nutritional value and flavor are better than those of Kerui, Weichen and other brands that use the leaching method. However, the decrease in oil yield corresponds to an increase in the price of finished products, which is the result of the trade-off between the knife mark and the taste of domestic consumers. From the sensory point of view, the canola oil is clear and shiny, and the stir-fried vegetables will have a faint rapeseed aroma, and the taste is refreshing and pleasant, which is quite suitable for vegetarians who pursue health.

In addition to the processing technology, the raw material is also a major factor affecting the quality of canola oil, and the knife mark uses canola seeds from Australia. Australia is the world's second largest canola producer, and the canola produced is a natural hybrid of Canada's original canola variety, which yields relatively low, but the canola oil product can be controlled to less than 1% erucic acid regardless of the variety. The same is true for canola oil, which performs better than most domestic brands with an erucic acid content of nearly 2%. Interestingly, in the early years of animal experiments, it was found that excessive intake of erucic acid can damage the heart tissue of animals, and then the view that "erucic acid is harmful to human health" became a consensus, but in recent years, it has been found that the experimental design is flawed, and the conclusion is not reliable, and there are still no further experiments to prove the results, but the ability to control the erucic acid content at a low level is a strong reflection of the company's strength.

At present, the market share of knife mark edible oil in South China is leading, North China also has a good foothold, is moving towards the market in Central China and West China, the price is more cost-effective, the price of 900ml canola oil is about 28 yuan, and the 4.68L and 5L large-size packaging is less than 80 yuan. However, in the face of the challenge of domestic edible oil giants such as Luhua, Fulinmen, and Arowana, there is still a long way to go for the expansion of the knife mark.
