There is another characteristic of imported royal Jinhui Thai fragrant rice, the purity of fragrant rice is more than 92%, generally speaking, the higher the purity of fragrant rice, the higher the quality, and the higher the price. However, the difference of 1%-2% of the so-called purity, does not have much impact on the taste, the Thai jasmine rice itself has a higher amylose content, the taste is hard and dry, it is best to mix a small amount of other rice when cooking rice to reconcile the taste, blindly pursuing higher purity of fragrant rice is not necessary.
 
The Ministry of Trade of Thailand stipulates that only two varieties of rice, Hom Mali 105 or RD15, with a content of not less than 92%, can be called "Thai Jasmine Rice".
