S&B创始人山崎峰次郎在1923年首先研制出适合Japan口味curry粉,算是Japancurry的鼻祖,最先在商用curry市场站稳脚跟,一时足以和垄断curry界的C&B公司竞争。

S&B品牌的另一款经典GOLDENcurry系列,是比小红罐更适合现代家庭的curry调料,有curry块、curry酱和即食curry售卖。GOLDENcurry块烹煮后的色泽是均匀的棕黄色,吃下去的甜味来自糖而不是蜂蜜,不过属于偏重口的日式curry,有原味到特辣四个口味,选择更广,不过最辣的日式curry都不会太辣。
此外,GOLDENcurry还推出了其他curry品牌不曾涉及到的素食curry酱,GOLDEN即食curry以蔬菜料居多,使S&Bcurry更受素食者的青睐。1983年推出的即食curryCurry No Ohji-Sama,专为小孩设计,酱汁有curry酱、蔬菜糊、水marmalade,口感香甜,一袋Curry No Ohji-Sama,就能解决小朋友不爱吃饭的难题。
But in both Japan and China, S&B curry is not selling as well as Haoshi. In 2015, due to raw material supply problems, S&B stopped producing Japanese-style curry cubes and other products in China, and withdrew from the Chinese market, making it not as convenient to buy as the first two brands.
