WINGWAH Yuen Long Wing Wah Mooncake How about brand introduction

Like most mooncake brands, Yuen Long Wing Wah started as a tea house cake shop, founded in 1950, and has more than 50 stores since then, covering more than 400 kinds of cakes, sausages, teas, etc., which are exported to the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and other countries and regions. Wing Wah Restaurant is a household name in Hong Kong, with three restaurants in Yuen Long, Kowloon and Wan Chai, managed by food god Leung Man-to, attracting many diners.

Yuen Long Wing Wah is also the representative of Cantonese moon cakes in the three giants of Hong Kong's moon cake industry, and in the 60s of the last century, Wing Wah became famous after creating white lotus paste moon cakes and became the object of imitation by many brands. It is worth mentioning that Ronghua moon cakes have been sold since the Dragon Boat Festival every year, and they are sold earlier than other moon cake brands.

In 1979, Ronghua mooncakes entered Chinese mainland, but did not register the trademark of "Ronghua mooncakes", which laid the groundwork for the trademark dispute with Shunde Sushi Ronghua. Shunde Ronghua relied on imitating Hong Kong's time-honored brand Ronghua mooncakes to make a name for itself, and took the lead in registering the "Ronghua" trademark, which Hong Kong Ronghua believes is a unique name of a well-known commodity and should be protected. The trademark dispute lasted for 14 years and ended with the loss of the right to use the "Wing Wah" trademark by Hong Kong Wing Wah, which is currently used by Hong Kong Wing Wah in the Mainland.

Even though the trademark was infringed, Yuen Long Wing Wah still won consumer recognition for its excellent quality, and has won the "HACCP" food safety key control and "ISO22000" quality management certification for many years, and won the "International Quality Commitment Award" issued by Spain and the "World Quality Food Gold Award" issued by Belgium.

Among the traditional mooncakes, "egg yolk lotus paste" and "five kernels" are the classics, while Yuen Long Wing Wah's double yellow and white lotus paste mooncakes, double yellow lotus paste mooncakes and pure five-kernel mooncakes are the classics among the classics. Double Yellow White Lotus Seed Paste and Double Yellow Lotus Seed are both made with pure vegetable oil and authentic Xiangtan lotus seeds, with a delicate and sweet texture. The difference is that white lotus paste is made with crushed lotus seeds and white sugar, which emphasizes the fragrance and smooth taste. Red lotus paste is first boiled into caramel syrup with brown sugar cubes, and then slow-cooked with lotus seeds, with a faint caramel aroma. Pure five kernels are made of five kinds of nuts, including sugar lotus seeds, melon seeds, almonds, sesame seeds and olive kernels, which are moderately soft and hard, and have a full taste.

In addition, Ronghua also has a variety of novel flavors such as egg gold jade lotus paste, flowing custard, flowing purple potato, sea salt egg yolk and meat floss, both salty and sweet, to meet different taste needs. In addition, Ronghua's snowy skin mooncakes are marketed with "Ronghua Fugui" as the marketing trademark, and the flavors are rich and diverse, but the reputation is not as good as Maxim's and Taipan.

At present, Hong Kong Wing Wah has fully entered the e-commerce platform, and mooncakes made in Hong Kong and the mainland are sold, Hong Kong-made products are printed with the words "Made in Hong Kong" on the packaging, while mainland-made products are printed with the words "Yuen Long Wing Wah". The price is around 200 yuan, and the Hong Kong version is slightly higher.
