In China's liquid milk market, yogurt accounts for about 28% of the market share, and it is still growing. Compared to pure milk, yogurt has a richer variety of flavor types, is nutritious and healthy, and can be consumed by people who are lactose intolerant.
 
In 2009, marked by the launch of Moslian, room temperature yogurt became popular in the Chinese market and became the fastest-growing dairy category, with an overall market share of more than 30 billion in 2018. In 2014, Yili launched the ambient yogurt brand Ambrosi, which focuses on Greek-flavored yogurt.
 
In 2016, Ambrosi's retail sales increased by 460% year-on-year, and more than 200 million yuan was invested in variety show advertising in the same year. Driven by huge promotion funds and complete sales channels, sales quickly surpassed the first brand Moslian, with sales reaching 12.9 billion in 2018, beating Trensu to become the largest single product in China's dairy industry.
 
All products of Ambrosia are "Greek-style" yogurt, which is smoother and more delicate than ordinary yogurt, and has a strong sense of fat and richness. However, Ambrosia is not strictly Greek yogurt.
 
Ambrosi's "Greek flavor" is imitated by adding whey protein and thickener ingredients to modify starch, gelatin, and food flavor. Ambrosia is very similar in texture to Greek yogurt and has a similar taste, but the protein and fat content is the same as that of regular yogurt. 100g of Ambrosia original energy value of 371kJ, protein 3.1g, fat 3.1g, carbohydrate 12g, is a typical snack type yogurt, the protein content is higher than Moss Amway, but also contains a lot of added sugar. Greek yogurt is only a type of yogurt, except for the United Kingdom, which stipulates that it must be produced locally in Greece to be called Greek yogurt, China, the United States and other countries do not stipulate what Greek yogurt is. It makes sense in the industry to use other ingredients to blend Greek yogurt, but because of Ambrosi's high marketing expenses, the price of its products is not low.

The room temperature yogurt category has been popular in the market for a short time, and all major brands are focusing on snack products, basically no low-sugar healthy products, the packaging is more novel and high-end than the general yogurt, and the price is higher than that of low-temperature yogurt, which is suitable for visiting and giving gifts. Its main competitors are fast-moving consumer drinks such as Wangzi milk and six walnuts, and relatively speaking, room temperature yogurt can also supplement protein and calcium, which is better than soft drinks.
 
Although room temperature yogurt does not need to be refrigerated, supermarkets often put high-priced yogurt such as Ambrosia in the freezer and display it in the same row as low-temperature yogurt, implying that it is the same as low-temperature yogurt. However, after room temperature yogurt is heat-treated, the probiotic effect of yogurt is impossible.
