Wella Hair Wax Hair Clay brand introduction

Wella didn't start out as a hair dye or conditioner, but started as a wig manufacturer before turning to perms and other hair products after 1924. Today, Wella is the second largest hair dye company in Europe, with annual sales of more than 3.4 billion euros, and its hair dye products have a market share of 24% in Europe, second only to L'Oréal.

Wella was the first Western hairdressing company to enter China, and since signing a joint venture agreement with Tianjin Daily Chemical Factory in 1981, Wella has gradually introduced international perm and hair coloring products to the Chinese market. However, although it is also a German brand, Wella's positioning of hair wax and hair clay is not as clear as Schwarzkopf's, and there are fewer products. There is only one sub-color hair clay on sale in China, and other products need to be purchased.

Although the name is subcolor, the matte hair clay is not completely matte because of the addition of mica. Mica has a satin sheen and is often used as a pearlescent pigment in cosmetics, and when added to hair clay it can add a subtle shine to hair. The matte hair mud does not contain water, the paste is hard, and the addition of kaolin and bentonite makes it not greasy. In terms of use, it is more sticky after rubbing, but the texture is not heavy, easy to shape, and the texture effect is good, but the staying power is insufficient, so it is recommended to use it with a setting spray. The price of 75g of sub-color hair mud is about 170 yuan, and it can be purchased in the e-commerce flagship store.

Several other hair waxes that are not sold in China have different names, such as Cream, Pomade, etc., but their ingredients still do not develop the scope of wax. Wella's hair waxes are water-based, made from carnauba wax, which is highly malleable, refreshing and non-sticky. Caucasian hair is mostly thin and soft, and it doesn't need particularly strong products to be well styled, and Wella, as a German brand, has products that are more in line with the needs of Caucasians, with medium to weak styling power. Wella Hair Wax is basically around $20, so if you have the right way to buy it, you might as well give it a try.
