Hubu Lane - Institutional Reviews

Just like Chengdu's Kuanzhai Alley and Beijing's Nanluoguxiang, every city has such a snack street. Hubu Lane is the representative of Wuhan Snack Street, although it is not loved by locals, it is still sought after by many tourists.

Hubu Lane has a long history, first formed in the Ming Dynasty, and has a history of more than 400 years. In the 40s of the 20th century, Xie's noodles were sold along the street with a small burden on their shoulders and settled down in Hubu Lane, which was famous in the three towns because of its many varieties and beautiful taste. But the real starting point of Hubu Lane's prosperity was in the 80s, when many passengers who took the ferry at Zhonghua Road Ferry Port had breakfast here, and it gradually developed into a morning gathering place. In 2003, the Wuchang District Government built it into the first lane of Hanwei Zaodian, and through antique transformation, the buildings here show a style of Ming and Qing dynasties. A 19-meter-long, 3-meter-high Hanwei Breakfast Cultural Wall was set up on the whole street.

One of the differences between Hubu Lane and other tourist streets is that it is famous for its early days. Wuhan people call eating breakfast too early, and Hubu Lane is a "premature holy place". Hot dry noodles, bean skin, noodles, etc. are all common breakfast meals for Wuhan people, and in Hubu Lane, these snacks are all available. Cai Lin Kee hot dry noodles taste authentic, its hot dry noodles are relatively soft, and the sesame sauce is smooth and very delicious. The noodles are made with rice noodles and chopped green onions and fried until golden brown. Xie's noodles are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the materials are of high quality, which is worth recommending. However, in addition to these traditional delicacies, there are many snacks that have long been flooded across the country, and most of these snacks are not guaranteed in quality, so diners are advised to choose carefully.

Despite the vigorous renovation, the hygiene situation in Hubu Lane is still mediocre, and many shops only provide relatively simple disposable tableware and do not provide seats. However, even so, Hubu Lane is still the place with the highest concentration of food in Wuhan, and it is still a good choice for tourists who want to taste Wuhan specialties but have limited time.
