Guiyuan Temple-Institutional Reviews

Guiyuan Temple, also known as Guiyuan Temple, has a history of more than 300 years and is one of the oldest temples in Wuhan. "There are no two ways to return to the yuan, and there are many convenient doors." The name of Guiyuan Temple comes from this. Guiyuan Temple not only has a long history, but also has continuous incense, and is the first choice for Wuhan people to pray for blessings.

One of the striking impressions of Guiyuan Temple is that its architectural style is not quite consistent with other temples. It does not have a neat and symmetrical grand pattern, and even slightly cluttered. Its main building is divided into two courtyards. The outer courtyard is mainly composed of a gatehouse, a courtyard, and a pond; The inner courtyard is composed of three main buildings: the North Courtyard Scripture Pavilion, the Middle Courtyard Daxiong Hall and the South Courtyard Luohan Hall, as well as the Tianwang Hall and the Jizo King Palace. The Tibetan Scripture Pavilion is the treasure concentration of Guiyuan Temple, and it is also a must-visit place. There are many Buddhist cultural relics hidden here, in addition to the scriptures, there are Buddha statues, dharma objects, stone carvings, calligraphy and painting tablets and foreign classics. Visitors interested in Buddhist culture may wish to take a closer look.

The most well-known of the Buddhist temples is the Luohan Hall, and the five hundred Arhats of the Guiyuan Temple are arranged in the shape of a field, and the forms are different. Visitors who are less interested in Buddhism can also have a lot of fun here. The arhats here not only have different shapes, but also adopt the innovative method of lacquer cloth rebirth paint in the production process, so that the arhats can be unchanged for a long time.

Counting arhats is a folk custom, and it is also an experience class for many tourists. There are three ways to count: "do as you like", "go with the flow", "male left, female right", in addition to the first one is more free, the latter two are counted directly after choosing the direction. Tourists count the corresponding Arhats according to their age, remember the Arhat number, find the staff at the door, and pay to get a signed ticket, which has various "divination" results for their future, suitable for tourists who have a strong interest in Buddhist culture.

Free guided tours are available at 8:40 a.m., 9:40 a.m., 10:40 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. For safety reasons, visitors are prohibited from bringing flammable items such as photographic paper and candles into the temple, and the temple will give three incense sticks for free. It is also important to note that tickets to the scenic spot are only available for cash purchase.
