Qingchuan Pavilion is located at the eastern foot of Guishan Mountain in Hanyang District, facing the Yangtze River in the east and facing the Yellow Crane Tower across the river. Although Qingchuan Pavilion is not as famous as the Yellow Crane Tower, it also has a profound historical and cultural heritage, and is known as the three major scenic spots in Wuhan together with the Yellow Crane Tower and Guqin Tower.
Qingchuan Pavilion Scenic Area has a compact structure, mainly composed of the main building of Qingchuan Pavilion, Yuji Palace and Tiemen Pass, among which the main building of Qingchuan Pavilion is the first scenic spot for tourists to visit. Qingchuan Pavilion was built in the Ming Dynasty, and its name comes from the famous poem written by the Tang Dynasty poet Cui Haodeng Yellow Crane Tower, "Qingchuan Calendar Hanyang Tree, Fangcao Grass and Parrot Island". Like the Yellow Crane Tower, the Qingchuan Pavilion has been destroyed many times and repaired five times. The Qingchuan Pavilion was rebuilt by the Wuhan Municipal Government in 1983, and its name was written by the famous Chinese calligrapher Zhao Puchu. Although there are few cultural relics and calligraphy paintings in the Qingchuan Pavilion, tourists will still have a good harvest after climbing the attic. The loft is located at the top of Turtle Mountain, and you can not only enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Yangtze River, but also see the Yellow Crane Tower, TV Tower and other well-known landmarks on the other side of the Yangtze River.
Another attraction worth visiting is the Yuji Palace. Yuji Xinggong was formerly known as Yuwang Temple, was built in the Southern Song Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty changed its name to this name, it is the place where Wuhan worships Yu in the past dynasties. Compared with the Qingchuan Pavilion seen today, the architectural history of Yuji Palace is much older. It was built during the Tongzhi period of the Qing Dynasty and is one of the few wooden structures of the Qing Dynasty in Wuhan. In addition, other monuments in the scenic area are also worth seeing. The Yu stele of the Yu Tablet Pavilion is the famous literati Mao Hui of the Qing Dynasty from Hengshan to copy and engrave here, and then copy and engrave in Xi'an Stele Forest. But the original stele of Qingchuan Pavilion has been destroyed, and the current piece is copied from the forest of steles in Xi'an.
