Bingrui is one of the first pre-mixed cocktail brands to enter the Chinese market, from the famous spirits company Bacardi. Founded in 1862 in Santiago, Cuba, Bacardi is headquartered in the United States, with the majority of its production in Puerto Rico. Bacardi rum, with its mellow aroma, pure smoothness and sweet tone, is the preferred rum brand for cocktails in bars.
In 1993, Bacardi launched its pre-mixed cocktail line Breezer in the UK, which became the UK's leading pre-mixed cocktail brand within two years, before entering the US market. Around 2000, Bingrui entered the Chinese market, and after ten years of silence, taking advantage of the east wind of film and television dramas, it became popular all over Chinese mainland, becoming the leader of the pre-mixed cocktail market, and once became synonymous with pre-mixed cocktails.
The domestic pre-mixed cocktail market is homogeneous and competitive, although Bing Rui is similar to the rising star RIO, most of the consumption places are night clubs, the raw materials are also free of juice, and artificial additives are commonly used, but RIO actively launched new products, coupled with a strong marketing offensive, to seize most of the market, Bing Rui has gradually faded out of the field of vision of the Chinese people. Outside of China, Bingrui remains the dominant brand in India, Europe, Canada and Australia, with a market share of 90% in 2015.
Bingrui's more popular items are blueberry and peach, and the base wine is its own white rum, with an alcohol content of 4.8%, a sweet aroma of syrup, and a pleasant aroma, not very prominent fruity, mellow taste, and a slightly astringent aftertaste. Because Bingrui is very similar to the classic model of Rui Ao, and Bing Rui's rum base is also a highlight, many consumers choose to use Bing Rui to replace Rui Ao. Bingrui has produced many flavors in China, and it is still active in foreign markets, but the only remaining online and offline goods on sale in China are only four flavors, and the price of a single bottle is about 11 yuan.
