Deep Water Bay
Repulse Bay and Deep Water Bay are both located in the southern part of Hong Kong Island, only 1.5 kilometers apart. Deep Water Bay Beach is inferior in length and width to Repulse Bay, and the water quality is similar to it, but the water depth is superior, so Deep Water Bay can be seen by surfers and windsurfers.
The vast majority of visitors don't have a need for surfing, and Deep Water Bay is more suitable as an alternative to Repulse Bay during the holidays. Repulse Bay receives an average of 14,000 visitors per day during holidays, while the number of visitors to Deep Water Bay is more than 4,000 people.
In addition, Repulse Bay is only 1 km away from Ocean Park Hong Kong. There is a fast food kiosk next to the beach, 35 barbecue grills, and facilities such as changing clothes and showers. The beach is coarse and sandy, but the barbecue spot is located just to the west end, so you can enjoy the sunset after visiting Ocean Park.
The water quality of Deep Water Bay is not bad, and the beach is slightly flawed but the transportation is convenient, which is suitable for visiting along the way. You can take lines 6A, 6X, and 260 from Exchange Square Terminus in Central to reach Deep Water Bay Station. There are also minibuses 40X that shuttle between Deep Water Bay and Repulse Bay.
