St. Stephen's Beach - Agency Reviews

St. Stephen's Beach
Strange place names in Hong Kong are often associated with English, "St. Stephen" is a transliteration of the Catholic saint "St. Stephen", and the beach is named after the nearby St. Stephen's College.
The beach is not large, only about 200 meters long, and the sand quality is also medium. However, the strength of the beach lies in the water quality, and St. Stephen's Beach is the clearest beach in the Southern District. In addition, the beaches are very hygienic, with the annual E. coli index ranking fifth in Hong Kong. In stark contrast, the number of visitors is the number of visitors, even on holidays, St. Stephen's Beach receives only 335 people per day, and at its peak, 800 people a day; The number of people in Stanley Main Beach, which is more than 600 meters away in a straight line, is always 4-8 times that of St. Stephen, if you visit Stanley on holidays, you may wish to choose St. Stephen, where the water is clear and the atmosphere is clean.
The beach facilities are not very good, but they are relatively complete. The toilets are simple and the shower facilities are also located outside. The most interesting is the Beach Pier, which was once the pick-up point for the Aberdeen-Po Toi route, but was abandoned in 2007 due to a change in business. The abandoned pier has not been demolished and is now a fishing spot and a great place to take pictures.
There are 14 barbecue stations at St. Stephen's Beach, so you can bring your ingredients with confidence, but they are not in demand due to the scarcity of tourists. In addition, the beach is not wide, the vegetation at the back is stylish, and the shade is also close to the sea. There are also St. Stephen's College Museum and Hong Kong Correctional Services Museum around the beach, but there is a lack of dining facilities and transportation is not very convenient. Take the MTR to Ocean Park Station, then take bus 973 from Wong Chuk Hang San Wai Station near Exit C, get off at Stanley Prison Station and walk for 10 minutes to St. Stephen's Beach.
