Repulse Bay Beach - Agency Reviews

Repulse Bay Beach
Repulse Bay's most popular beach in Hong Kong is always overcrowded, with more than 10,000 visitors a day, even on weekdays. The beaches are among the top water quality indicators, with a total length of about 500 meters, wide and neat. In addition, there are two rows of trees planted in the middle of the beach, which is very convenient for enjoying the cool weather.
It is worth mentioning that Repulse Bay Beach is also the earliest artificial beach reclamation project in Hong Kong. As early as 1990, 45 million Hong Kong dollars were spent on Repulse Bay Beach, where 16km of seabed sediment was piped to the bay, and 200,000 m³ of sand and gravel successfully stretched the width of the beach. However, this practice also has "side effects", the far sea end of Repulse Bay is fine sand and golden in color. On the seaside side, the texture is coarser and there are more shell debris and sometimes black sand, which is more pronounced at low tide.
Repulse Bay is not only a beach, but also an upscale residential area, so why not visit it at dusk to enjoy the night view. The beach is also very easily accessible, and there are several buses to Central, which allows visitors to enjoy the sunset without staying overnight. You can take Line 6, 6A, 6X, 66 and 260 at Exchange Square Station in Central, or Line 973 at Mody Road Station in Tsim Sha Tsui.
