Founded in 1995, Junlebao started with lactic acid bacteria beverages and is now the largest dairy enterprise in Hebei Province. The most popular jujube flavored fermented milk in the Chinese market was first launched by Junlebao, and Junlebao's low-temperature sour milk and lactic acid bacteria beverage market share ranked fourth in the country.
 
In 2014, Mengniu acquired 51% of the shares of Junlebao, which became an important layout of Mengniu's low-temperature dairy products in North China. Junlebao named its lactic acid bacteria drink Daily Live Culture, which is different from the classic model, and the Daily Live Culture series uses Bifidobacterium lactis and Lactobacillus plantarum as starter cultures, which are not as active as Chr. Hansen's latest Lactobacillus casei, and the number of viable bacteria in the product is lower.
