Toro Loco Touro Spanish Restaurant - Business Reviews

There are only a handful of Spanish restaurants in Suzhou, and the Tulle Spanish Restaurant on the 37th floor of W Hotel is one of the most prestigious. Named after the Spanish word "Toro Loco", which means "crazy bull", the interior of the restaurant is also decorated with red bull elements, giving it a Spanish feel.

The chef of Tule is from Spain, which guarantees a certain degree of authenticity in the food. Tapas is the first classic of Spanish cuisine, the Spanish word "Tapa" translates to lid, and it is widely said that the first tapas were a small piece of bread, and the Andalusians used it as a lid to cover the mouth of the cup when drinking, to keep out fruit flies, and then various ingredients were stacked on this small bread to form the original Tapas. Compared to some Spanish restaurants that focus on tapas, there are only five types of tapas in Tule, including octopus with cheese Tapas, smoked salmon with smooth meat, bell pepper cod sauce Tapas tender and sweet, Iberian ham Tapas salty and oily, whitebait fillet skewers with sour olive Tapas sour and appetizing, and the five types of tapas are gorgeous and delicious.

Iberian ham is one of the world's top varieties of ham and the second classic of Spanish cuisine. Spain belongs to the Iberian Peninsula, but not all Spanish ham can be called Iberian ham, Iberian ham can only be made from purebred or 75% pedigree Iberian black pigs, and the free range of black pigs is limited to the Dehesa (oak pasture) area on the border between Spain and Portugal, all acorns or grains are grown, and the quality is quite excellent. The Iberian ham served at the restaurant is made from the 48-month-old "Jamon lberico bellota", which is a pure acorn black pork hind leg, sliced with crimson flesh, snow-white fat, and a delicate and sweet mouth.

Crispy slices of bread are served next to the ham, and diners can try the popular Andalusian recipe, a slice of ham with a slice of bread; You can also try the local Spanish tavern and order a glass of wine to accompany your meal. If you feel that the alcohol concentration of red wine is too high, you can also switch to the Spanish sangría, which is made with red wine soaked in fruit, served with orange and cinnamon, the first taste of the sour taste is prominent, and when the orange and cinnamon are fully integrated, the multiple flavors tend to be balanced, and the fat aroma of the ham can be highlighted when eaten with fresh ham.

Paella is the third classic of Spanish cuisine. "Paella" originated from Valencia, Spain, is a rice dish cooked in a large iron pot Paellera, paella (Paella de Marisco) is a kind of Paella, because most Spanish restaurants in China only serve paella, many people think that Paella only has a kind of paella, but in fact, in addition to all kinds of seafood, the locals often add chicken, beef, sausages and other ingredients when stewing paella. The Paella served in Tule is available in two types, the classic paella and the cuttlefish rice, and the rice used is Valenciagen, which absorbs water and is more chewy than ordinary rice, and the so-called "sandwiched" taste of many diners is also due to the tough texture of the rice itself. The two kinds of rice are large and filling, and the seafood such as mussels, prawns, and cuttlefish are extremely fresh, the meat is firm, and the rice is fragrant. The difference is that the classic paella is cooked with saffron to give the rice a golden brown color, while the cuttlefish rice is made with cuttlefish juice, and the whole pot of rice is black and shiny.

In addition to a few classic dishes, Pandora salad and garlic prawns are also popular. The Pandora salad consists of avocado and a variety of vegetables, and the surface of the salad is covered by a loaf pan lid, and the bread needs to be broken before serving, just like opening a Pandora's box. The salad is topped with vinaigrette and goat cheese, which is sweet and sour, and served with broken bread chips for a richer taste. Unlike the usual Spanish restaurant Tapas, the prawns are separated from the bread, and the fresh prawns are poured with piping hot olive oil, and the garlic aroma is all stimulated by the hot oil.

Located on the 37th and 38th floors of the W Hotel, Tule Restaurant is ideally located with unobstructed views of the surrounding area of Jinji Lake. The 37th floor is the dining area, and the 38th floor is the bar area, which serves a variety of drinks and DJs after 9pm. The restaurant service staff is warm and friendly, active and thoughtful, but the professional quality needs to be improved, and they don't know much about the dishes. If diners want to choose a window view seat, it is best to book 3 days in advance, and try to be on time when dining, under normal circumstances, the view seat is only reserved for 15 minutes.
