Namasste Indian Cuisine - Merchant Reviews

Opened in 2010, Namasti Restaurant is widely known for its authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant was originally located in Wenxing Square on Renai Road, and later moved to the Li Gongdi neighborhood, and the name "Namasti" comes from the Indian word Namaste, which means good for you.

Namasti, from the owner, chef to the service staff, are all Indians, and the ingredients and spices used in the dishes are also shipped from India. The appetizer is based on classic Indian baked dishes, with a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes. In terms of meat food, the fragrant roasted spring chicken is made of tender baby chicken, which is roasted at high temperature in an Indian earthen oven, and the charcoal-grilled chicken has a crispy skin and soft meat, and the tension of a variety of Indian spices and chili peppers is completely released under the catalysis of high temperature. Grilled shrimp with mint is grilled with open-backed prawns mixed with mint leaves, and the shrimp are fragrant and flavorful. For vegetarian options, the restaurant serves grilled mushrooms, grilled broccoli, grilled shiitake mushrooms, grilled eggplant, grilled onions, and a variety of slightly spicy spices added to the vegetarian barbecue. However, according to the feedback of some diners, the production of barbecue meals needs to be improved, and occasionally it is too charred.

The main course is a classic curry-style dish, and Namasti's curry dishes are closer to the local Indian taste than Ganesi Indian Restaurant, with a richer spice flavor. The signature chicken curry is stewed in India's most classic Masala curry, which is sticky and rich, and the curry is also filled with many green peppers and onions, which is particularly refreshing. Spicy fish is boiled in yellow curry, which is custard in color and has a hint of spicy flavor, and both curries can be eaten with dough cakes. The spicy potato curry is suitable for vegetarian lovers, the potato wedges have been boiled and melted into the curry, and the curry soup is full of juice, which goes well with rice. Namasti's rice is made from slender basmati rice, which is dry and sticky, making it the perfect partner for potato curry.

The interior of the restaurant is full of Indian influence, with orange-red walls with dim light and beautiful Indian columns painted on the walls. There is an open window in the kitchen, you can see the busy figure of Indian chefs at any time, the restaurant service staff are all Indian, English communication is unhindered, and some of the staff can communicate in basic Chinese. Most of the service staff are more enthusiastic, and they will ask if there is any food to avoid before the meal, and they can patiently answer the questions raised by customers. The restaurant is located in the depths of Li Gongdi Bar Street, and the road signs are not obvious enough, so it is best to follow the navigation route when getting there.
