Finlandia House is the only Finnish restaurant in Suzhou, and the owner is a former deputy general manager of Nokia Suzhou, and after his retirement, he and his wife settled in Suzhou for a long time, and the couple opened this Finnish restaurant together.

Finlandia House doesn't have a wide variety of dishes, with a menu of salads, pizzas, pasta and other Western-style fast food, and less than 20 local Finnish dishes. Made from ground cinnamon and flour, the Finnish House cinnamon rolls are made with pearl sugar or frosting, but Finnish House eliminates this step, so the bread is not overly sweet and the cinnamon flavor is more pronounced, and it can be eaten the same way in Finland with a cup of coffee or Finnish black tea. The restaurant's mashed meatballs are almost identical to IKEA's Swedish meatballs, except that the Swedish flag on the mashed potatoes has been replaced by the Finnish flag.

Salmon soup and vegetable soup are also traditional Finnish dishes, and unlike Chinese soups, which focus on preserving the umami of the ingredients, Finnish soups are more of a mixture of mixed dishes. Salmon soup is made with a mixture of salmon, onions, allspice leaves, dill leaves and cream, and the soup is thick and milky with small green leaves floating on the surface. The vegetable soup is infused with 18 kinds of vegetable spices, including carrots, tomatoes, potatoes, herbs, basil leaves, and mint leaves, and the taste is similar to borscht, with a sweet and sour taste, and a light mint fragrance in the mouth. The two soups are rich in ingredients and have unique flavors, which are suitable for early diners.

Finlandia House is located on Pingjiang Road Pedestrian Street, standing by the water, with a superior geographical location. The interior of the restaurant is simple, like a family restaurant, and some of the seats can be crowded. In front of the dining area, there is a small stage with many African drums, and every evening the owner Agelo performs an African drum performance. At the end of the performance, the owner will go to each table to introduce the dishes and ask about the taste of the dishes, and the other staff in the store will also have a friendly attitude and good service experience. Parking around the restaurant is inconvenient, so it is not recommended to drive there.
