Kanai Japanese Restaurant is one of the long-established high-end Japanese restaurants in Guangzhou, and was once known as the "Guangzhou Japanese Restaurant" on a par with the "Tian Shejia".
The Kanai restaurant consists of two dining areas, Japanese and teppanyaki, and the iron plate is open, so diners can see the whole process of the ingredients being cooked on the iron plate. I was fortunate enough to meet the teppanyaki chef's fancy performance, and you can feast your eyes on it while feasting on it. Unfortunately, Kanai Japanese Restaurant's sushi counter is not open to the kitchen, but is separated by thick glass, which is similar to a regular restaurant, and the counter dining experience is a little less than usual, so we recommend that diners choose to sit at other seats in the restaurant.
Guo Zhiqiang, general manager of Kanai Japanese Restaurant, is from Hong Kong, and has held important positions in Hong Kong's famous stores such as Watermill House and Tsui Wah, and enjoys a certain reputation in the industry. Kanai Japanese Cuisine follows the seasonality in the selection of ingredients, and the main fish and vegetables vary depending on the season.
Fish and shellfish are abundant, and the top-quality assorted sashimi consisting of nearly 10 kinds of fresh seafood, such as alfonsino seabream, left-mouth fish, rock consumption, and red shellfish, is one of the luxurious dishes of Kanai Japanese cuisine, and there are two sashimi dishes that change irregularly depending on the season. The sushi is made with imported Japanese rice, and strives to be close to the original Japanese flavor.
Located on the 5th floor of Park Inn Plaza, one of Guangzhou's high-end shopping venues, Kanai Japanese Restaurant has a Japanese-style restaurant with tatami mat tables that give diners the feeling of being in Japan. In the creation of the restaurant environment, Kanai Japanese Cuisine has also made great efforts, and has also invited well-known Japanese florists to perform in the store, adding Japanese style to the atmosphere.
