Wella Wella Setting Spray brand introduction

Originally a wig-producing company, Wella gradually shifted to the production of perms and other hair products after 1924. Today, Wella is the second largest hair colour brand in Europe, with a market share of 24% and annual sales of more than 3.4 billion euros. In 1981, Wella was the first to enter the Chinese market, becoming the first Western hairdressing company to enter China, bringing international hairdressing products to China.

Originating from the aerosol canisters used to make pesticides in World War II, the beauty industry discovered that it could be used as a hair spray container, and in 1948 it was first used in the production of hair spray. The original spray used chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) as propellants, which were later discovered to deplete the Earth's ozone layer and were gradually phased out. Nowadays, dimethyl ether or alkane are mostly used as propellants, and Weina's spray products use dimethyl ether.

Due to electrostatic attraction, zwitterionic polymers produce bonds within and between molecular chains, resulting in shrinkage of molecular chains, with tighter molecular conformation and low viscosity. When applied to hair, the film is more uniform and firm, less likely to stick to the hair, and more likely to produce a sense of volume.

Wella's setting sprays are mainly from the EMMI range, and there are currently three setting sprays. Among them, the hair-fixing gel has the strongest holding power and staying power, and the hair strands are slightly stiff but not sticky after setting. The addition of dimethicone makes the hairspray also have the effect of filling the cuticle and smoothing frizz.

The dynamic styling hairspray is made of PVM/MA copolymer, which has certain moisture and sweat resistance and medium staying power. This spray is claimed to be 45s drying, and the actual drying speed is really fast, so it is not convenient to adjust the hairstyle, and it is not particularly friendly to novices who use the setting spray for the first time, and is more suitable for people with certain experience, or you can use products such as hair clay hair wax to do a good job of styling and then use dynamic styling hairspray to set the style. Both Motion Styling Hair Gel and Hair Gel are fortified with ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, which can protect against UVB rays and protect the hair.

Honey Volumizing Styling Spray uses hydrolyzed cornstarch as the main fluffy ingredient to make hair drier and less sticky, and moisturizing ingredients such as propylene glycol and sorbitol to smooth frizz, making it ideal for long curls. Spray dry hair can be used, but the best way is to spray it on the roots of the hair when wet and then blow dry it to make the hair strands on the top of the head fuller and less likely to flatten, or you can spray it on the hair strands to make the curls more textured. This spray doesn't stiffen after use, and the shine is natural.

Wella setting spray is priced at about 90-150 yuan, and it can be purchased in various e-commerce flagship stores.
