Baile cockroach bait, formerly known as "Virulence Island", was invented by Professor Hu Yuanyang of the School of Life Sciences of Wuhan University, and is the world's first biological cockroach bait.
 
The active ingredient of Baile cockroach bait is 6000PIB/g cockroach virus and cockroach pheromone, and the excipient is a food attractant, which has a great attractant and killing effect on cockroaches. The Baile cockroach virus comes from the purified black-breasted cockroach concentrated nuclear virus (PDNV), which is currently the only cockroach virus in the world that has been systematically studied, which can infect black-breasted cockroaches without infecting vertebrates, and it has been found to have similar infectious effects on other common cockroach dominant species, such as German cockroach and American cockroach.
 
The principle of action of the cockroach bait is similar to that of chemical cockroach killers, and it is also the use of the characteristics of cockroaches to share food and eat the carcasses of the same kind, spreading and killing, and further than chemical cockroach killers, the cockroach virus will spread in the group, even the cockroaches that have not eaten will be affected by the drug. In terms of the speed of killing cockroaches, the speed of Baile cockroach bait is not as good as that of chemical agents, and it takes 7~15 days for cockroach populations to enter the peak period of death after infection.
 
Compared with the conventional cockroach bait on the market, Baile cockroach bait is a novel biological cockroach bait, which is very specific and will not affect other organisms, and has a very high safety.
