BASF BASF cockroach medicine brand introduction

BASF is one of the world's largest chemical producers, producing chemical raw materials in more than 80 countries around the world. Historically, Bayer and BASF were once a company that was split after World War II. BASF's products are also popular in agriculture and hygiene, with its Avert and Bayer's Maxforce being the most commonly used hygienic insecticides in the United States, although BASF has adopted a separate product line in China.

Unlike Bayer's more monolithic products, BASF's cockroach killer products are available in a variety of dosage forms, the most commonly used being the glue bait Shijie. The active ingredient of Shijie is 2% fluoroethylene, which was discovered by the American cyanamide company in 1978 to have insecticidal activity, and was widely used for sanitary pest control.

The insecticidal mechanism of fluoropyramide is different from that of the nicotinic drug imidacloprid in that its mechanism of action is to inhibit the energy provided by the mitochondria of insects, resulting in cell death. Shi Jie's onset of action was slower than that of Byexterminus, and it took about 12 days (the test subjects were resistant cockroaches) to observe 100% of the killing effect under closed test conditions. In terms of safety, fluoride is more environmentally friendly because it is easy to decompose under light and water conditions, and because of this, its cockroach prevention is not as long-lasting as that of Baiexterminator. However, in most cases, Shi Jie has been able to control the number of cockroaches well, and the cost performance is high, its 30g specification price is 59.9 yuan, enough for a 140 square meter house for one year.

In addition to Shijie, BASF also has cockroach killers in aerosol and powder form, which are also effective in killing cockroaches, but with different emphasis.

Aerosols are suitable for rapid killing of cockroaches, and cockroach bait is better at long-term prevention and control. When there are more cockroaches in the environment, it is difficult to reduce the number of cockroaches in a short time with cockroach bait, and the use of aerosol can quickly knock down the cockroaches within the spraying range, so as to achieve the purpose of rapidly reducing the number of cockroaches, if used together with bait, the number of cockroaches can be controlled for a long time.

However, there are two additional points to be aware of when using aerosols. The first point is that under long-term use, most cockroaches have an avoidance mechanism for pyrethroids commonly used in aerosols, and will actively avoid the area where the agent is sprayed. BASF's aerosol primetrisis also has this problem even if it uses natural pyrethrum ingredients, so in actual use, the aerosol and bait should not be used in the same place, otherwise the bait will be invalid. The second point is that the Chinese market is still dominated by oil-based aerosols, and its deodorized kerosene and other solvent components are not good for human health after vaporization, and they should be ventilated in time after use.

BASF's powdered cockroach killer is 5% cis-cypermethrin, which has a much higher concentration than aerosol and other dosage forms, and is suitable for a wide range of environmental cockroach control, such as kitchens, courtyards, hotels, cinemas, etc. Struggle Na needs to be diluted 50~80 times to use, and it can be used in a variety of ways, which can be evenly spread in the environment through sprayers or mopping, and can be used together when cleaning. The powder form can better prevent cockroach infestation in large public places, but the disadvantage is that it cannot be protected for a long time and needs to be used regularly.
