Each has a short history, but with a considerable amount of reserves, it still has a place in the burgeoning Chongqing whisky circle. Two years after the opening of the 9th Street store, its second store opened in Xie Jia Wan, and it has grown rapidly.
The façade of Each 9th Street is as small and understated as nearby Brown Brown (No. 12), with only the red neon logo on the door plate. With the slogan "Each Weekend, Each Drink" as the slogan, there was a lot of traffic at Eac, but most of the customers consciously kept the noise down and kept the environment quiet. Compared with the 9th Street store, which focuses on a calm industrial style, the Xie Jia Wan store is larger in area and has a more lively atmosphere, attracting more young customers. In particular, the projection screen and stage in the center become the focal point of the entire store during the performance, and the band's excellent performance and brilliant lighting effects make it easy to get emotional. Three sharks are housed in a fish tank between the bar and the ceiling, and the water is illuminated by the lights, adding to the mystery.
As a professional whisky bar, Each is the place where many Chongqing people start their single malt journey. There are more than 200 whiskies in the store, ranging from affordable Chivas Regal and Ballantine's to mid-to-high-end wines such as Blue Label, Balvenie and Bowmore. The price of a single cup ranges from 80 yuan to hundreds of yuan, but some styles do not support selling by the cup. Individually purchased whiskey, wine, vodka, etc., can be stored in the bar for the next drink. Each may seem short of fine spirits compared to Chengdu, where whisky bars are plentiful, but for the smaller Chongqing whisky scene, it has become one of the preferred professional whisky bars for insiders.
For those who love cocktails, try Each's Ramos King Fizz. This gin fizzle shakes the top cream into a soft milk froth, and the combination of lime juice, syrup and gin on the bottom reveals a subtle floral and fruity aroma with a fresh and natural taste. And if you're looking for a little more layering, opt for the signature Each Memory, a cocktail of bitter liqueur, gin and sherry, with a complex flavour in a light body, just like the different tastes of different memories, whether bitter or sweet, sour or sweet.
Unlike the hi bar and the pub, Each doesn't have a lot of appetizers, but an Iberian ham has received a lot of good reviews. The refined ham has a firm flesh with a delicate smoky and salty flavor, which goes well with the mellow and fragrant whisky, and is worth trying.
