"Ladder" is the staircase, which is an indispensable old friend of Chongqing people living in the mountain city every day. The old store of Tikaner Tavern is located in a bungalow on Jianxin East Road, because the entrance is lower than the road surface, you need to enter the store through a short flight of stairs, hence the name. Because the old store was included in the scope of demolition, Tikaner opened a second store in Jiangbei Wulidian. The new store is slightly larger and has a newer environment, but customers who are fond of the "fly restaurant" still prefer the old one.

The two partners of the tavern came up with the idea of founding Tikaner after a trip to Nepal, so the environment of the restaurant also has a strong Nepalese atmosphere. The area of the store is small, and it even looks cramped when there are many people. The mural decorations, old wooden tables and chairs, and blue and white floor tiles brought back from Nepal have the taste of Hong Kong films in the 90s; Large and small wine tanks are placed in the corners of the wall, and they have the uninhibited arrogance of an old tavern in Chongqing. Guests sit on all sides around a square wooden table, and if there are more people, they need to add a seat on the bench.

Dongba wine is a special wine brought back from Nepal by the two owners, which is rare elsewhere and is also a well-deserved signature in the store. This unique-smelling mulled sake is fermented with corn in a bamboo tube, followed by hot water and hot cola. The entrance is warm, there is almost no alcohol, only a mellow grain aroma; Although the corn has a cloudy dark red appearance due to precipitation, the taste is very pure, and it is refreshing to drink in winter and remove the cold. In addition to Dongba wine, the store also provides hawthorn, rose, passion fruit and other fruit wines, a pot of about two to three taels, sweet and sour, the type of fruit wine changes according to the season, with fresh fruits into the wine, to ensure the flavor. In addition, there are several kinds of rice wine above 40 proof.

Like Dongba wine, almost every table must be ordered, which is chopped pepper hoof flowers. Large pieces of pig's trotters are simmered with cooking wine, ginger and rock sugar, the color is dark yellow, with local taro on the bottom, and homemade chopped peppers and green onion on the top, which is hot and appetizing. After several hours of steaming, the pig's trotters are soft and rotten, and they are very flavorful with green and red peppers. Spicy Palm Treasure is another popular appetizer, and its spiciness, which is more present in the later stage. The crisp texture makes people can't help but eat a few palm treasures, and then the spicy strength of the dried pepper rushes to the back of the head, so I have to take a big sip of wine from the wine glass. Roasted crispy tomato bones, crispy oyster mushrooms and wine-flavored beef are also popular appetizers.

Although the founders are two post-80s, most of the waiters in the store are middle-aged, and they look in a hurry when serving. Guests visiting the old store are advised to find Daxingcun Station, then walk 50 meters in the direction of Guanyin Bridge, and go down the stairs at a shabby white cloth with the name of the store written on it.
