The Swiss Chalet - Business Reviews

Sichuan-Chongqing hot pot has spread all over Hong Kong, so why not try authentic foreign hot pot for a different taste? Swiss restaurant names are unfancy and easy to understand. If you want to experience the authentic Swiss food culture, this is the place to be. While European restaurants have traditionally preferred to serve French or Italian dishes in order to cater to the general taste, Swiss restaurants offer both without losing their traditions, giving guests more flexibility to choose dishes according to their tastes.

As in all foreign restaurants, the waiter will serve warm pre-dinner bread with a whole piece of butter to serve a whole piece of butter bread. The appetizer is white wine, herb cream and mussels, which is a must-order dish at every table. The mussels are cooked in cream juice, and the aroma of the wine completely removes the fishy smell, making it fresh and delicious, smooth and appetizing. Many customers are so satisfied that they even drink the cream sauce as a soup or as a noodle sauce.

Of course, the most traditional and authentic Swiss dish is fondue. Unlike our traditional hot pot cooked and eaten, the base of the Swiss restaurant is made from four types of cheese, with eight flavors such as spinach, mushroom, herb and tomato, and the hot pot food such as beef cubes and meatballs are cooked in the pot, and then mixed with vegetables, potatoes and bread grains. The cheeses are made of Gruyee, Emmetaler, Lamdenberger and Vacherin, which are full of aroma and most importantly, the addition of white wine to the bottom of the pot can reduce the greasy taste caused by the cheese, and cheese lovers will not be able to resist. If you don't like alcohol, you can choose an alcohol-free pot base, which is also unforgettable.

The owner is a foreigner, and all the waiters are foreigners, so be sure to do your language homework when you go to eat. Although there is a Chinese translation on the menu, there are occasional Cantonese transliterations of words such as "云ne na" which is the English transliteration of vanilla (Vanilla). In addition, the wine menu and some small papers are all in English, and the order and communication with the waiter are also in English, so it may be difficult to order food without doing homework or English skills, but no matter what language you use, the service attitude is absolutely first-class. If you're looking for an authentic Nordic dining experience, this is the place to be.
