Founded in 2009, Mingqian Coffee is one of the pioneers in China's specialty coffee industry, enjoying a high reputation and popularity in the industry. Today's Mingqian Coffee has developed into a powerful coffee brand integrating coffee roasters, coffee academies and cafes. Mingqian Coffee currently has one coffee store in Shanghai and one in Shenzhen.
The amount of coffee beans consumed by a chain coffee brand is very large, so it is not surprising for a chain to contract a production estate and set up a coffee roasting plant. Mingqian Coffee has its own Mingqian coffee estate in Yunnan, producing Yunnan specialty coffee beans. Single beans in various producing regions of the world are purchased on an annual basis during the coffee bean season, ranging from tens of kilograms to several tons. Both Shanghai and Yunnan have Mingqian Coffee's self-built coffee roasting factories, and the coffee beans used in stores and colleges are all produced here.
Mingqian Coffee does not replicate chain stores on a large scale, only has one store in Shanghai and one in Shenzhen, and focuses more on coffee roasting and coffee training, taking the route of professional roasters and academic coffee brand development.
Founded in 2011, Mingqian Coffee Academy is a well-known institution for training baristas in China, and currently has Mingqian Coffee Academy in Shanghai and Kunming. The coffee academy has been certified as a member of the European Specialty Coffee Association SCAE and the American Specialty Association SCAA, and has a professional team of Q-Grader instructors to provide students with systematic, comprehensive and professional coffee training. At present, Mingqian Coffee Academy has professional courses such as barista basic courses, extension courses, and Q-Grader training courses, as well as cupping and tasting classes and public cupping activities for coffee lovers to learn coffee culture.
In April 2018, Mingqian Coffee Shanghai Store was relocated from the original Fengxian Road old store to Ruiping Road Poly Time, the new store has a stronger sense of space design, elegant and comfortable environment, and stable specialty coffee, which is very worth experiencing
