Baoqin and Golden Peacock Dehong Dai Restaurant live next to each other, but opened a few years later than Golden Peacock. The restaurant was also run by a retired teacher from the National People's University of China, and the mom-and-pop shop later became a gathering place for teachers and students from several colleges and universities near Weigong Village to gather and reminisce about their time on campus. Baoqin's shop is very small, with only one floor, and the seats are very limited, there are no private rooms, and the largest table can only accommodate four or five people. Baoqin has undergone several renovations, increasing the number of seats as much as possible in the limited space, and designing and decorating the layout and atmosphere of the restaurant. Because of the limited number of seats, Baoqin receives most of the guests in groups of three or two, so there are fewer large dishes, and snacks will be more popular. Pineapple rice has become a must-order dish on almost every table, and the sweet taste is more acceptable to the public than the pungent sour and spicy taste. The aroma of Baoqin's pineapple rice blends the fragrance of glutinous rice and pineapple, which arouses the appetite, the glutinous rice is soft and chewy, and the pineapple is sweet and delicious, which is a signature dish that everyone loves. Potato balls are another popular snack in Baoqin, mashed potatoes are made into the size of a ping-pong ball, fried in a pan until the shell is golden brown, and eaten with a special sauce.
