Originating in France, Orangina is a mixed carbonated soda with a focus on fruits such as oranges and lemons and a fine pulp. It creates a sweet and sour layering, and is the favorite juice soda of many international students. Currently, Orangina is owned by the Suntory Group in Japan in the Asian and European markets, and Keurig Dr Pepper in North America is the same as Dr Pepper. In 2018, Goo Ranking released a list of favorite carbonated drinks voted by Japanese netizens, and Orangina ranked fifth, higher than Pepsi.
It is the same orange-flavored soda as Fanta, but Orangina has a fresher and more natural taste, with a juice content of ≥ 12%, orange juice 10%, and other lemon, citrus, grapefruit and other mixed juices 2%. The slightly carbonated taste is smooth and not easy to burp, the bubbles are fine and dense, and the taste is full, but the freshness is average. The packaging is generally based on orange-patterned garlic-shaped plastic bottles, which contain pulp ingredients.
In addition to the garlic bottle, Orangina also has a can form, because it contains fine pulp, but not if the orange flesh is rich and full, the design of the can is upside down, and the ingenious opening of the can is placed at the bottom of the bottle, consumers have to shake it before drinking, but only in some products are launched for a limited time, and they are not available in China.
Since it has not officially entered the Chinese market, the Japanese version of Orangina, released by the Suntory Group in 2012, is mainly canned and bottled, and the shipping cost is high, and the price is 1 to 2 times that of Japan. Taking a 420ml bottle as an example, the price of a single bottle is close to 30 yuan. Despite its pricier price, Orangina is a good choice for its sweet, crisp flavor and natural juice and pulp ingredients.
