A century-old giant of Chinese wine, a wine for state banquets that has remained unchanged all year round. Changyu is currently the largest wine company in China, and in the list of "Top 10 Wine Brands in the World in 2017" released by Drink Business, Changyu ranked fourth with an annual sales volume of 15 million cases, beating the Chinese brand Great Wall.
In order to capture the younger consumer group, Changyu launched an entry-level wine series in 2014, which includes three dry reds, one dry white and one rosé wine. The feature of the Zuishixian series is the screw cap design, which is more convenient to open, store and carry, and is in line with the usage habits of young consumers.
The price of drunken Shixian peach red is only 78 yuan, it is a dry rosé wine, its fruity flavor is distinct, the color is light pink, the aroma of fresh strawberry, pomegranate and raspberry swims in the wine, the acidity is appropriate and refreshing, the taste is slightly astringent, the aftertaste has a slight spicy aroma, the drinking threshold is very low, it is a primary rosé wine that can be drunk at any time.
Located at the eastern foot of Helan Mountain in Ningxia, Mosel Winery is one of the eight major wineries of Changyu, jointly built by Changyu and the Moser family, an Austrian winemaking family, with the fifth generation of the Mosel family serving as the winemaker. The Mosel Legend series produced by the winery includes another rosé wine from Changyu, which is made from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes from Ningxia vineyards, with a rich floral and fruity aroma, smooth and round taste, moderate acidity, balanced structure, and richer layers than Zui Shixian. On the e-commerce website, a bottle of Mosel Legend Rosé wine costs 157 yuan.
Compared with French rosé wine, Changyu's rosé wine is not cost-effective, but in the relatively poor wine environment in China, Changyu can be called a more reliable entry choice.
