Tassimo's background is somewhat complicated. In 2004, the Tassimo hot drink system was launched, initially developed by Kraft Foods, with a prototype provided by Philips' coffee machine brand Xike and distributed by Braun Appliances. In 2008, Procter & Gamble, the parent company of Braun Appliances, decided to reduce the marketing investment of Braun Appliances in the North American market, so Tassimo was transferred to Bosch for production and distribution.
There are some slight differences between the models sold in China and those sold in Europe and the United States, but there is no big difference. There are not many features in the design, and the lines are slightly redundant in the shape, which makes the fuselage look a little bloated. The logos of the two brands, Tassimo and Bosch, appear in the front of the fuselage at the same time, which also makes it visually less concise.
Fortunately, Tassimo has its own capsule system, which does a great job of simplifying the operation. Each capsule has a barcode, and the system automatically recognizes the type of capsule when it is placed in the coffee machine, so as to automatically adjust the cup size, extraction temperature, pressure and other conditions, without the need for cumbersome operations. However, there are no big names in the coffee bean field among Tassimo's capsule suppliers, which means that the taste of the coffee capsules themselves will not be so outstanding, and they are not suitable for users who have strict requirements for taste.
The Vivy 2 and Suny are priced at 1299 yuan and 1499 yuan, respectively. Aside from scanning capsules to identify varieties for easy one-click operation, Tassimo's capsule coffee machine had few other features, so much so that it made a push-cup induction system for Suny as a sales gimmick. That is, the coffee cup touches the back wall of the extraction space, and the coffee machine starts to extract. This feature is so counterintuitive that many users don't use it. Overall, there are a lot of better options at this price point.
