Baoyan Mall - Merchant Reviews

Suzhou, located in the center of the Taihu Lake Plain, has always produced all kinds of river freshness. For example, "Taihu Lake Three White" white fish, white shrimp, silver fish, Yangcheng Lake hairy crab and Taihu Lake hairy crab, etc., are all special specialties that attract gourmets to come from far and wide to taste. In contrast, the status of seafood in Suzhou is awkward. There are only a handful of seafood restaurants that cook in traditional ways, and most of the rest are sauna restaurants (steamed seafood), hot pot restaurants and cafeterias, with uneven production and environment. Therefore, it is not easy to eat delicious seafood in Suzhou.

In March 2018, Baoyan Mall opened, breaking the embarrassing situation of seafood restaurants in Suzhou. Baoyan Group, to which the brand belongs, was established in Shanghai in 2000. Its high-end catering brand "Baoyan No. 1" has nearly 20 large branches in Shanghai, and its strength is reliable. Founded in 2015, the Baoyan Mall brand is a complex project that integrates large-scale fresh supermarket, seafood processing and catering functions, with supermarkets and specialty restaurants such as "Baoyan Market", "Baoyan Seafood Factory", "Baoyan Seafood Posture" and "Baoyan Steam Seafood Pot", subverting the image of traditional seafood restaurants.

On the first floor of the mall is the Baoyan Market, which covers an area of nearly thousands of square meters. The seafood area is full of delicious delicacies, and countless precious seafood such as Australian lobster, king crab, extra-large wave dragon, eastern star grouper, large pomfret, geoduck and so on are lined up, making people dazzled. High-priced popular seafood such as tiger grouper, small dragon grouper, Dungeness crab, razor clams, sea melon seeds, and river eel can only occupy a small pool for low-key display. There are four specialty restaurants on the second and third floors: the leading seafood factory 2 stores, focusing on Cantonese seafood, Cantonese cuisine and refreshments; The 1st store of the seafood factory focuses on Ningbo-style seafood and Shanghai-style fusion dishes; Bao Yi Steamed Sea and Seafood Posture offer seafood sauna dishes and hot pot respectively, and customers can choose freely according to their needs.

The combination of dozens of processing methods and nearly 100 kinds of seafood ingredients has achieved the complex situation of seafood production in Baoyan Restaurant. Unlike ordinary restaurants, most of the ordering process here is done in the restaurant's processing area. Additional attention should be paid to the ordering process of dining here: customers must first go to the front desk of the restaurant to get the table number, and then enter the market with the number to choose and buy seafood; Then bring the purchased seafood and shopping receipts, and go to the processing office of each restaurant to register the seafood recipe before entering the store and waiting. Therefore, customers need to follow the lighting menu on the wall to match the different seafood ingredients with various processing methods.

Taking the seafood factory as an example, the guests of the banquet are the popular recipes for the feast, such as baked king crab with black pepper, baked with cheese and butter, fried Australian abalone with XO sauce, fried live sea cucumber with green onion, and classic inverted steamed blue crab, salt-baked red cream crab, boiled giant prawn, salmon sashimi, and Cantonese steamed treasure fish. In addition, the restaurant also has the appropriate processing method of different ingredients on the menu, so as to avoid customers' worries about the combination. If you want to order non-seafood dishes to suit your tastes, the restaurant also offers a wide range of Subang, Sichuan and Cantonese dishes such as Osmanthus Sugar Lotus, Gluttonous Bullfrog, Sha Tin Suckling Pigeon and Sham Tseng Roast Goose.

Commensurate with the delicious and exquisite production, the elegant environment of the mall is equally pleasing to the eye. The seafood selection area of the market is orderly and clean. Shrimp, crab, shellfish and chilled areas are clearly visible, and there are plenty of staff on site to provide services. The four restaurants upstairs match the unique interior decoration according to the different positioning of the production. The Hong Kong-style retro style of the 2nd store of the seafood factory and the cool and glamorous European style of Baoyi steaming sea are all eye-catching. In terms of service, customers enter the store and have staff members who inquire about their dining needs, and can lead the dining process in an orderly manner, with a warm and active attitude, which is commendable. It is worth mentioning that the restaurant presents the kitchen to customers in a bright file, and the team of chefs in uniform prepare a variety of dishes in a uniform manner, which is quite a spectacular scene.

The mall is located near the high-rise Nanshi Street subway station, near the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Suzhou and Suzhou Modern Media Plaza, with a large number of high-end white-collar consumers. Therefore, every meal, you can see many business people coming here to eat. All in all, if you want to feast your guests with precious seafood in Suzhou, Baoyan Mall must be the best choice. Bringing your own alcohol is allowed at no additional charge.
