Over the years, Shengang has become a well-known barbecue restaurant in Chongqing, and the number of stores has expanded to 3.
Roasted braised chicken feet and glutinous rice lotus root are two dishes that are relatively rare in Chongqing barbecue, but they have become best-selling signatures in Shengang. Glutinous rice lotus root is a home-cooked food in Yunnan, Jiangsu and Zhejiang, the traditional method is to mix glutinous rice and sugar and put it into the lotus root section to be steamed, and in Shengang, the store will continue to barbecue the steamed glutinous rice lotus, add chili noodles and other condiments to season, the taste is spicy and soft glutinous, and with a little sweetness, very distinctive. Grilled crucian carp is a flavor dish infused with the special spice lemongrass of Yunnan, in addition to the burnt taste of the fish itself, it also has a lemon-like lemon sour aroma, you might as well try it.
After the brand expansion, the owner Chen Hua gradually faded away from the direct production of barbecue and passed on the skills to other barbecue restaurants in the store, which has led to a decline in the quality of Shengang's products. In addition, with the exception of the three specialties mentioned above, the rest of the dishes in the store are mediocre and difficult to be highlights.
