Chongqing Dalong Hot Pot has stood in Shapingba for nearly 20 years, with 6 shops dominating half of Radio Lane, and the Chengdu store opened in 2016, which is the only branch of Dalong Hot Pot outside Chongqing.

Zeng Jun, the owner of the Chengdu store, is the apprentice of Liu Peng of Chongqing Dalong Hot Pot. In the early days of the Chengdu store, the chili, pepper and butter used in the store were all shipped from Chongqing, and the stir-fry chef was also the master of the Chongqing store, with the sole purpose of making the Chengdu store taste closer to the original taste of Chongqing.

At present, the store has been completely controlled by the owner Zeng Jun, and the bottom of the pot is freshly fried every day. Unlike old hot pots such as Jialing and Xu Ji, which use Laoyin tea to turn into soup, Dalong uses a broth made of beef bones and pork bones, and the oil is even more fragrant. While the aroma spreads, the spicy taste does not weaken, and the chili pepper exerts its maximum effect under the catalysis of butter and high temperature, and the more the bottom of the pot is cooked, the more fragrant it becomes, and the more it is cooked, the more spicy it becomes. The dishes served by Dalong are not much different from other hot pot restaurants, and the quality can also maintain a stable level, but the slight disadvantage is that the presentation is messy and disorderly, and it is simply served in the tableware. Coriander, chopped green onion and oyster sauce are not available in the saucer, but the first two can be ordered separately.

Dalong is located on the side of Shuanglin Beiheng Road, next to the hot pot restaurant is the stir-fry room, and customers can see the stir-fry process at any time. The interior of the store is simple and bright, and there are many picture frames full of memories of old Chongqing, such as the Yangtze River Cableway and the 18 Ladders, hanging on the wall. The service staff are mainly middle-aged women, who serve and clean diligently, but occasionally have a poor attitude, which will have a certain impact on the dining experience. It should be noted that Dalong Hot Pot currently has only this one store, and the rest are counterfeit.
