Founded in 2008, O-film is the first professional craft brewery in China, and before that, the domestic home-brewed beer industry was still in the exploratory stage and could not be defined as craft brewing. The advent of O-film changed that, and China's first craft beer houses sprung up after that.

O-film is the predecessor of Nanjing Master Gao Beer House, which was established in 2014. Gao Yan, the director, is the "first person in China's craft beer", and has served as a brewing consultant for the American Hops Association, the Chinese representative of the United States Department of Agriculture's hop project, and has been praised as the "father of China's craft beer revolution" by the Boston Globe. In 2010, Gao Yan's book "Drink Your Own Beer" was published, and the industry set the terms translated by Gao Yan as the industry standard terms, and then set off a boom in self-brewed beer.

The launch of the bottled beer "Baby Fat IPA" is another major achievement of Master Gao Craft Beer House. This is the first bottled mass production craft beer in China, and it has become the largest domestic craft beer product sales after its launch in 2013. As the first craft beer product in China, the taste of baby fat IPA is in line with the taste of the public: light ale beer has low bitterness, sweet aftertaste, strong aroma, and high acceptance. The bottle label design of the baby fat IPA is based on traditional Chinese New Year paintings, and the fat doll is holding a red carp, which is in line with Chinese culture and has a pleasing design. Following the baby fat IPA, Master Gao also launched craft beer products such as "Baby Fat Jasmine Tea Lager", "Yingshui Dijiang", "Lunar Eclipse", "Island Island", and "Live Haunted". Master Gao uses jasmine and osmanthus with Nanjing characteristics as winemaking materials, and the flavor is unique. In 2018, Baby Fat Jasmine Tea Lager became the first domestic craft beer exported from China to the United States, becoming a stepping stone for foreign craft beer lovers to understand Chinese craft brewing.

At present, Master Gao has opened a total of 6 branches in China, in addition to 3 in Nanjing, there are also branches in Beijing, Xi'an and Zhenjiang. Opened in early 2018, Master Gao's Beer Brewing Factory on Changjiang Road is the newest branch of Master Gao. The store covers an area of about 600 square meters, and has opened a brewery room and introduced precision brewing equipment that can brew 16 types of beer, aiming to make the store a landmark in the domestic craft brewing industry. There are a total of 12 heads in the store, supplying more than 20 products of Master Gao Beer, with a complete variety, which can be called the "brand product exhibition hall". The Ko Master Brewery also serves steaks, pasta, burgers, and other dishes that are worth trying.
