Sevva is the brainchild of former Chanel Asia Pacific Director of Grace Kwok and includes both the restaurant and the bar. Located on the top floor of the Prince Tower in Central, Sevva features an outdoor deck with 360-degree views and a 20th-century international art scene from London's Fine Art Gallery. Whether it's artistic or outdoor viewing, Sevva has a modern urban sense of style.
Sevva's environment is more youthful, and many celebrities often come to visit, Carina Lau, Guan Zhilin, Li Zi, etc. are all loyal fans. The restaurant loft is divided into four areas, Harbour Side, Bank Side, Taste Bar, Terrace, and a separate Cake Corner. The afternoon tea here does not have the rigor and ritual of traditional English afternoon tea, but a dazzling variety of sweet varieties with different shapes. Crunch Cake is a must-order cake for almost first-time visitors, with a smooth and sweet texture, crab and shrimp salad burger, and foie gras mousse also reflect the quality of the cuisine. The afternoon tea set for two is more than HK$700, which is even more expensive than the Peninsula Hotel, but it still can't stop the afternoon tea from being full. If the set meal is too big, Sevva has plenty to choose from, including giant marshmallows and Marie Antoinette's Crave, a macaron.
However, the highlight of Sevva's afternoon tea is not the taste of the food, but the environment in which it is eaten. From Sevva's terrace, you can see Victoria Harbour and the Ferris wheel in the distance. The sofa in the room is stacked with cushions, and even if you don't sit in the open air, you can meet your friends and spend afternoon tea time on the sofa.
It is important to choose the time to go to Sevva for afternoon tea, which is only open from Monday to Saturday, and the whole store is closed on Sundays, and afternoon tea is not available by appointment. The restaurant usually opens at 12 noon, and afternoon tea needs to be picked up at the store at 1:30 p.m., and seats will be arranged in the order of getting the number at 3 o'clock. If you want to sit on the terrace and enjoy the scenery, you must arrange a time to get the number. There is a wide selection of Sevva desserts, the menu is only in English, and if you are not sure about the type of desserts, you can check with the waiter in Mandarin.
