Cova - Merchant Reviews

Cova is the oldest dessert shop in Italy, founded in 1817 by Napoleon's general, Antonio Cova. After 200 years of development, it is now a dessert shop known for its bespoke craftsmanship and creativity. Cova is also known as the luxury of desserts by many fans because it is a brand under LV.

Cova's brand strategy is similar to TWG's, which is to locate stores in high-end malls in the city. Just as TWG's selling point is tea, Cova's selling point is in desserts, especially cakes with various flavors. As a valuable cake, Cova's appearance is mostly very ordinary, and it seems impossible to see from the appearance of these cakes whether they are delicious or not.

But Cova's food is not judged by the eyes. The mango cream cake is a must-order item for the first time in Cova, full of mango pulp and fresh cream, and when you take the first bite, you can feel the sweet and sour taste of fresh mango mixed with delicate cream. It can be said that the sweetness of the cake comes more from the fruit itself, rather than using sugar to enhance the sweetness of the cake. The launch of low-sugar oatmeal cake is also one of the choices of many customers. The ordinary cake is sprinkled with a layer of oat crumbs, which looks monotonous, but has a strong oatmeal flavor.

However, Cova is not a traditional English afternoon tea, and it is not recommended to visit Cova. Cova's afternoon tea set can include a piece of cake and a drink, and the price is around HK$148. Tea or coffee is at the customer's choice. Sometimes if you go too late, the cake may sell out. Cova's menu is also available in English, and it is important to note that the waiters only speak English and Cantonese.

Mango cake
One of Cova's most signature cakes, using cream and fresh mango pulp, with a moderate sweetness.
Oatmeal
The light oatmeal aroma makes the whole cake not sweet, and the low sugar also makes this cake not too high in calories.
