Since 1865, the Langham Hotel in London has been offering English afternoon tea service in its restaurants, and this traditional service has been extended to the world's largest Langham hotels. The Langham, Hong Kong, under the leadership of Executive Chef Bergnon, has launched the "Wedgwood Langham English Afternoon Tea", which balances the salty and sweet nature of the refreshments and is more in line with modern habits.
Langting has its own unique characteristics in the use of utensils. All tea sets and plates are printed with the unique rose pattern of Langting, with an English pastoral style. The three-tiered shelves are in silver floor-to-ceiling and can be placed next to the table to place refreshments on a plate. Refreshments come with finger sandwiches, macarons, petit fours, smoked salmon, black truffles and cream cheese. The scones, a must-have for English afternoon tea, are served in separate baskets and served with Devonshire cream, strawberry jam and rose jam. Langting has a wide range of teas, including Chinese white tea, roselle, rosehip and pink rose petals. The menu also offers a variety of cocktails and champagnes, but they are available for a separate fee. The afternoon tea at Langting is also accompanied by a separate harp performance, and you can enjoy live performances during the afternoon tea. However, such an indoor venue is not unique enough to compete with The Peninsula.
Like The Ritz-Carlton, Langham often collaborates with brands to launch limited-time afternoon teas. Recently, we have partnered with Danish jewellery brand PANDORA to launch the Midsummer Party Afternoon Tea Collection, which is served in a white and pink leather jewellery box, echoing Pandora's jewellery box, and the afternoon tea is also divided into two different options: Classic and Prestige. If you happen to meet your favorite brand cooperation, you can also enjoy afternoon tea at the same time, you can also get preferential activities or small gifts from related brands.
However, the time of the afternoon tea service is not uniform, it is best to determine the time of visit in advance and call or email to reserve a table. In terms of price, Langting's afternoon tea does not have much advantage, the classic afternoon tea is 348 Hong Kong dollars per person, the two-person package is about 600 Hong Kong dollars, and the premium version reaches 500 Hong Kong dollars for a single person. If you happen to come across a brand collaboration model you like, you can give it a try.
