Orange Elephant Thai Restaurant - Reviews

The overall environment of Kowloon City is a little old and dirty, and most of the Thai restaurants opened here are simple and casual, while Orange Elephant is a breath of fresh air in Kowloon City, and the pure white literary decoration style of the store looks out of place with the surrounding environment. Orange Elephant is also a street shop, and it is the brightest and most comfortable Thai restaurant in Kowloon City.

Snacks include garlic prawns, Thai fried shrimp cakes, Thai fried fish cakes, taro fried chicken wings, Thai spring rolls, coriander wrapped chicken and butter crepes, priced between HK$30 and HK$100. In the salad, minced meat and lettuce buns are recommended, and there are three kinds of meat to choose from: pork, beef, and chicken, and the slightly spicy taste is very appetizing. In addition, there are sour and spicy boneless phoenix feet, the boneless phoenix feet are smooth and smooth, full of tendons, and are fresh and refreshing with green papaya shreds and lemongrass. The raw shrimp sashimi is also worth recommending, and the six fresh shrimp are priced at HK$90 and are served in six small transparent glasses.

In addition to the regular tom yum soup, Orange Elephant only has three types of soup: hot and sour seafood soup, chicken soup with coconut milk, and minced pork soup with vermicelli. The restaurant focuses on seafood, with classic dishes such as stir-fried meat and crab with Thai curry, stir-fried prawns with Thai curry, aconitum with lime chili and aconitum fish in an open oven with tom yum gong soup, as well as seafood dishes that are rare in other restaurants, such as prawns with fragrant sauce, teppanyaki oyster eggs, and fried prawns. In addition, there are curries, noodles, barbecues, rice and desserts, which are basically popular dishes in Thai restaurants, and the taste is relatively authentic.

The exterior wall of the restaurant in Kowloon City is mainly pure white, which is very eye-catching. The design of the transparent windows facing the street makes the small storefront transparent and bright, and the interior walls are decorated with a variety of plates and elephant models, which is quite artistic. The second store of the restaurant was opened in Tai Kok Tsui, continuing the decoration style of the Kowloon City main store. Restaurants often offer special promotions for only HK$1 for selected dishes to gain more popularity. The restaurant also has a 90-minute meal time, so there is usually no waiting time.
