Le Menu - Merchant Reviews

Six Nations Hotel, formerly known as Six Nations Hotel, was once the tallest building on Hong Kong Island. After the relocation and renaming, it still won hotel awards for its time-honored prestige and service quality. Its buffet hall, Le Menu, is a decent performer, but considering its pleasant prices, the restaurant is doing well. In addition, Le Menu has a relatively high dessert rating and has a chocolate fountain, which is undoubtedly a good choice for family diners

The cold cuts are led by the king crab foot, shrimp, mussels, jade snails, crayfish, and the "old five", while the sashimi section includes salmon, mackerel, and sometimes red octopus. The variety is not rich, the taste is not outstanding, the crab meat is slightly shriveled, and the mussels have more moisture. Raw salmon tastes acceptable, but the fat is not thick enough, so it is not as enjoyable as smoked salmon.

The hot dish is good, the cowboy bones are fat and juicy, the tongue is cut into slices, the appearance is somewhat raw, but the taste is worth affirming, and the right amount of tenacity always brings additional flavor benefits. Le Menu's lamb racks are of the highest standard, and the meat is actually more tender and juicy than that of the Coming Pavilion, and the fat is thicker. Roast beef is eaten and has a similar visual effect.

There are not many varieties of sweets, but they are the characteristics of the hotel. It is worth mentioning that Six Nations Hotel was also the first in Hong Kong to launch a giant ice cream cup. But it's afternoon tea, and for buffets, try waffles. The eggs are rich in flavor, the skin is crispy and hard, and the ice cream effect is excellent, and there are 12 different flavors of Häagen-Dazs in the six countries. The cheesecake is just as good, but it's too flavoury to suit all diners. Marshmallows may seem a bit banal, but the chocolate fountain makes the food fun and more suitable for the little ones.

In terms of service, Le Menu can only be medium, and the speed of adding ingredients is slightly slow, which is a very serious disadvantage for a hotel-style buffet restaurant. In addition, the passage of the self-service area is also a little narrow, the decoration is a bit old-fashioned, and the environment is not as good as the Zaien Pavilion.
