Qi Yudong, born in the 70s, is a designer, and after meeting his wife from the media, he founded Yu Desserts, the biggest feature of the store is to add a lot of Chinese elements on the basis of Western desserts, the taste is light, and it is more suitable for the taste of Chinese people. Yu Dessert did not start too early, but thanks to excellent production and proper marketing strategy, it gradually became famous in the Beijing cake circle.

Laiyu dessert had to try their mille-feuille cake, which has chestnut, matcha, jasmine, and chocolate flavors. First of all, it is recommended to be limited to the winter chestnut flavor, which is moist and soft and layered with a knife and overflows with aroma, and the ripe chestnuts in season are full of them, and the powder is glutinous and sweet; The sweetness of the matcha powder can be clearly felt in the matcha flavor, and the concentration and flavor indicate that it is by no means a cheap road product, and the sweetness of the cream between the layers is just right, keeping it moist without making people feel sweet. In general, the mille-feuille cake of Yu Dessert performs well in terms of ingredients and layering, the only regret is that the number of layers is not too much, which affects the layering after the entrance. By the way, Awfully Chocolate's mille-feuille cake was originally a must, but all three branches in Beijing were closed at the end of 2017 for unknown reasons.

Compared with the mille-feuille cake, Yu Desserts' Napoleon cake is more stable, whether it is strawberry evaporated milk Napoleon or almond cream that is more suitable for winter tasting, the highlight is that the three pieces of puff pastry are crispy and delicious, with a cream sandwich with a very restrained sweetness, sweet but not greasy, loose but not soft, very standard. This cake suggests abandoning elegant knives and forks (in fact, tasting Napoleon with knives and forks not only spoils the appearance, but also has a great impact on the taste), and the satisfaction of the cream filling and puff pastry is best felt with bare hands.

In addition to the above two recommended dishes, there are also many dishes worth trying in Yu Desserts, such as red velvet, soy milk cake, mousse series, etc., the overall sweetness is slightly lower than that of ordinary cake shops, elegant and fresh, and the products are relatively fresh. However, there are many minefields of its Cinnamon Zhi, although the appearance is very high, it is not recommended.

It may be that in consideration of the high rent, Yu Dessert's Sanlitun store has been closed, and there is currently only one store on Gongti North Road, which is decorated with fresh and elegant, spacious and warm, suitable for girlfriends and couples to date. The location is a little difficult to find, from the north of the Workers' Stadium Road to Chunxiu Road, you will find a small shop with a white wall in the north of Wynn International and a cherry tree at the door.
