Bus Grill - Business Reviews

Located in Futian Shopping Park, where exotic restaurants and bars are plenum, Bus Grill specializes in Turkish-style kebab and was named New Restaurant of the Year at the 2017 That's PRD Food & Beverage Awards 2017.

Born in Turkey, owner and chef Birol has trained in Turkey, France, the United States and Switzerland, and has worked in several hotel restaurants, designing the menus for Bus Grill. The restaurant claims that most of the meat ingredients are imported from abroad, and when grilled, they are only processed by charcoal grilling. Bus Grill's grilled meat dishes are characterized by highlighting the natural flavors of meat, so they are usually cooked only with butter, olive oil and sea salt, with no other flavorful spices.

Before waiting for the food to be served, the service staff will usually serve a pre-dinner bread, which is full of wheat flavor and very chewy. The store also comes with three dipping sauces: olive oil, spicy rice and yogurt, which is one of the most common pairings in Turkey, and the pure yogurt sauce is thick and white, and the acidity is several layers heavier than regular yogurt, which is quite appetizing.

Doner kebab is one of Turkey's most representative dishes, and is often referred to as "rotisserie meat" because it is made by slicing lamb, beef, or chicken with toppings. Bus Grill's rotating barbecue is a moderately thick and medium-sized piece of meat, charred on the outside and tender on the inside, and the residual aroma of the meat wafts between the lips and teeth after each bite, making people want to stop. There are two options for rotisserie, the difference is mainly in the combination of toppings, from a single Turkish bread with yogurt sauce to pita bread with tomato thyme sauce and garlic sauce. There is also a variety of Turkish breads, Mediterranean breads, Italian breads and salads, which can be eaten in an authentic Turkish way. It is important to note that the rotating roast needs to be roasted for at least two hours, so it is generally only served in the afternoon.

The Chef's Choice Grill Platter is also a popular dish, with lamb chops, Istanbul lamb, Adana kebabs, rotating kebabs, chicken skewers and chicken wings. Bus Grill's lamb grill is similar to Middle Eastern kebabs, and the lamb is made with minced meat instead of a whole piece of lamb, making it very tender and tender, so even customers who don't like tough meats can enjoy it with confidence. The platter is also served with a small portion of rice, which is cooked with Turkish spices, and the spice flavor is not as heavy as that of fried rice, which is quite refreshing to eat.

In addition to the owner Birol, there are several other young chefs from Turkey, but the young chefs are not skilled enough, the restaurant's production is not stable enough, and occasionally there are problems such as old and burnt barbecue. The service level of the restaurant is relatively good, just enter the door there are service staff warmly greet and sit, the service staff will also make corresponding recommendations according to the number of diners when ordering, most of the service staff in the restaurant come from foreign countries or Xinjiang and other places, the appearance is full of exotic customs, there will be no language communication barrier. If you still want to sit down and chat at the end of the meal, the store will not have any displeasure, and will still ask from time to time whether you need to refill the water or other services, and the service experience is good overall.

The restaurant is located in the B area of the shopping park, the shape of the red bus on the outside is very unique and eye-catching, the interior is also red and black, and a cow is painted on the right wall to introduce customers to the difference between different body parts of beef, which is vivid and interesting. The semi-open kitchen allows you to see the chef's barbecue, and if you sit at the table around the kitchen, you will be greeted by the smell of meat.
