Latina is the first Brazilian restaurant in China, and it is also a well-known music buffet, which has been in the Chinese market for 20 years and currently has branches in Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
All the dishes in the restaurant are buffet-style, focusing on Brazilian barbecue, including beef and mutton, mixed with some seafood. Most of the restaurants are foreigners, and most of the dishes are authentic Brazilian flavors, not catering to Chinese tastes, and some meats may be too salty, heavy, dry and hard for Chinese diners, and the maturity is not easy to adapt. For example, the signature gaucho grilled triangular steak is recommended to be at a ripening level of 3 points, but for many diners, the blood-streaked state of 3 points is too much to accept, and it is better for diners to specify the degree of doneness they want according to their preferences. Grilled triangular steak is the most classic dish of Brazilian barbecue, the fat and lean rump meat is grilled, the gravy is still retained in the crispy skin, and when chewing, you can fully feel the juice swimming back and forth between the teeth, which is endless, and a steak of 700 grams is suitable for 2-3 people to share. In addition, Australasian oxtail steak, Argentine sirloin, and grilled two-finger lamb chops are also staple foods with high order frequency, but the mutton has a strong flavor and is not acceptable to every diner, while seafood meals are more general and will have the risk of lightning.
After satisfying the meat cravings, diners can also enjoy an after-dinner bread and salad. Cheese bread is a flavor snack from Minas Gerais, Brazil, and the baked bread is infused with a fragrant cheese flavor and rich milky aroma, which is loved by many customers. The Palm Core Salad is also a very Brazilian dish, this salad made from palm core tastes similar to bamboo shoots, and is tender and crunchy, perfect for eating after eating the greasy meat. Others, such as Brazilian fried dumplings, pork chop soup with bacon and potatoes with olive vegetables, and egg yolk and coconut pudding, are also recommended by the restaurant, and they are not easy to eat in other Brazilian restaurants in China.
The dinner is divided into two tiers of the Hilasco Buffet at 198 RMB and the Latin Buffet at 108 RMB, while the lunch menu is priced at 128 RMB and 88 RMB respectively. On weekends, prices are partially adjusted, but every Monday night is a women's night, and ladies can enjoy half price for the barbecue buffet.
Latina is located behind the Sea World Minghua cruise, especially at night, the restaurant is very large, and there are many tables and chairs both indoor and outdoor. The main dining area is mostly a four-person dining table, with a circular self-service bar and service counter to the north, and the kitchen is separated from the outside by a half-glazed kitchen that allows guests to see the chef in action. There is a small stage in the middle of the restaurant, and around 6 p.m., Brazilian bands and samba dancers begin to perform, the performers are free-spirited, and the diners are enthusiastic, and the atmosphere is warm and enjoyable. The service staff can communicate in both English and Chinese, and there is no language barrier, but according to past feedback from diners, some service staff will treat Chinese customers differently from foreign customers.
The once-acclaimed Garden Brazilian Grill is also located at Sea World, but the Garden Grill closed its doors in 2017, and the Santos Brazilian Grill that fills the streets is more like a fast-food chain, and it's not authentic. Not everyone may be able to accept every dish of Latina, but in Shenzhen, if you want to eat authentic Brazilian barbecue and experience the hot exotic style, Latina may be the first choice.
