How about Issou a pair of chopsticks Brand introduction

80% of Japan's lacquer chopsticks are produced in Wakasa Kohama, Fukui Prefecture, the lacquer layer is divided into two categories: natural lacquer layer and chemical coating, natural lacquer is extracted from lacquer resin, bright color, non-toxic and harmless, lacquer chopsticks production process is complex and exquisite, and the finished product has a unique and certain degree of artistic appreciation and collection value. The craftsmanship of handmade lacquer chopsticks is mostly passed down from generation to generation by master and apprentice, relying on experience to measure and build.

As early as the Edo period, Japan invented the original Wakasa paint based on Chinese lacquerware technology, and it has been manufactured for more than 400 years. Wakasa is a mixture of shells, eggshells, pine needles, mica and other materials with artistic shapes and lacquer, and applied to the surface of wooden utensils for the dual purpose of antiseptic and decoration. Even a skilled craftsman can complete 16 processes, including painting, sanding and polishing, in a matter of a year and a half. In the Ohama area, which is famous for its chopsticks, there are only four craftsmen who have been designated as "Traditional Craftsmen Designated by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry".

A pair of ancient Wakasa lacquered chopsticks are much more affordable than the Hyozaemon Gate, whether it is the "Isotoki Rain" and "Summer Star" with shells as the main element, or the "Golden Pine" decorated with pine needles, it is only 1,200 yuan. In addition to the famous Wakasa chopsticks, there are also handmade chopsticks with local characteristics, such as Tsugaru lacquered chopsticks, Wajima lacquered chopsticks, and Nishijin woven chopsticks. Tsugaru is Japan's northernmost lacquerware production area, and Tsugaru lacquerware is based on traditional techniques such as Nanako Tu and Kara Tu to create works with a modern twist.

Tsugaru paint is colorful and richly textured, and the price of about 470 yuan is at the middle level of Japanese handmade chopsticks. Wajima lacquerware has a rich, beautiful texture that comes from more than 70 delicate manufacturing processes, a large amount of lacquer, and a powder unique to the region. Wajima-tu is very strong and durable, and at the same time combines techniques such as maki-e and immersion gold, the appearance is gorgeous and noble, and the price of less than 120 yuan is quite affordable. Nishijin weaving is also a traditional handicraft of Japan's national treasure, and it takes more than 20 processes to complete the weaving, most of which are completed by professional craftsmen, so Nishijin weaving has a wide variety of products but low production. Nishijin chopsticks combine two complex techniques, fabrication and lacquerwork, with a Japanese-style design and a price of around 170 yuan.

Whether it is the ancient Wakasa lacquered chopsticks, Tsugaru lacquered chopsticks, Wajima lacquered chopsticks or Nishijin woven chopsticks, they are all pure handmade products that cannot rely on modern mechanized production, with exquisite workmanship, a variety of styles, long working hours, high prices and other characteristics, while having the use value of general wooden chopsticks, taking into account the value of art and collection, can add a sense of ceremony to the dining table.
