GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Co., Ltd. (GAC FCA) was established on March 9, 2010, and is jointly invested and constructed by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC Group) and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles Group (FCA Group) with a 50:50 share ratio, with a total investment of about 17 billion yuan. Headquartered in Changsha National Economic and Technological Development Zone, Hunan Province, the company currently has two vehicle factories in Changsha and Guangzhou, as well as an engine factory, with an overall design capacity of 328,000 vehicles and 320,000 engines, and a wholly-owned independent sales company with more than 6,000 employees.
Located in the Changsha National Economic and Technological Development Zone, GAC FCA's Changsha plant covers an area of more than 700,000 square meters and has a planned production capacity of 164,000 units in the first phase, including the all-new Jeep Freelight, Fiat Fiat, and Zhiyue. The Changsha factory integrates advanced planning and layout, process equipment and management mode, and has four major process workshops: stamping, welding, painting and final assembly. At the same time, there is also a parts park of about 800 acres in the first phase adjacent to the east of the company's factory, and 8 Fortune 500 or industry-leading parts companies have been stationed.
GAC FCA's Guangzhou plant is located in Panyu District, Guangzhou, covering an area of 280,000 square meters, with a planned production capacity of 164,000 units in the first phase. Following the concept of "world-class manufacturing", the Guangzhou plant introduces the world's advanced production equipment, manufacturing technology and quality management system, and strives to build another safe, efficient and world-class manufacturing quality vehicle production base of GAC FCA in South China. The Guangzhou factory was officially completed and put into operation on April 18, 2016, and has produced the new Jeep Liberty and the new Jeep Compass.
The engine plant is located in the Changsha National Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering an area of 50,000 square meters, with a planned production capacity of 320,000 units in the first phase. The company mainly produces two series of engines, Fire and Tiger Shark, with displacements ranging from 1.4 liters to 2.4 liters, and supplies all domestically produced models at the two vehicle plants in Changsha and Guangzhou. At the same time, it is also planning to introduce the GME engine newly developed by the Fike Group.
In order to provide Chinese consumers with higher quality products and satisfactory services, GAC Fiat Chrysler Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. was registered and established in Changsha in 2015, with an operation center in Shanghai, and is fully responsible for the business of domestic and imported cars of Fiat, Jeep, Chrysler and other brands in China through independent operation, including product planning, marketing, sales management and after-sales service.
