Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on July 1, 1998, and is jointly invested, constructed and operated by Guangzhou Automobile Group Corporation, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. and Honda Motor Industry (China) Investment Co., Ltd. on a 50:40:10 share ratio, with a joint venture term of 30 years. In July 2009, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. changed its name to Guangqi Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangqi Honda").
