Skoda Logo:

Winged arrows: the Skoda logo has evolved into the current car logo through several stages of development. The logo of the Skoda car is based on a flying arrow with wings as the main body, coupled with the use of various colors and logos with deep meanings, the overall simplicity and atmosphere, very cultural heritage, and the taste of philosophical and rational thinking.

Skoda is a brand that is both familiar and unfamiliar to the Chinese people. While the Skoda taxis running on the streets of the north are slowly fading from people's memories, and more and more Octavia, Fabia and Superb are active on the roads of the country's central cities, how did this exotic Czech car brand from Europe embark on the road to world-class bestsellers?

The 100-year-old history of a small European country

Skoda Motors is located in Mladá, Czech Republic. Mlada Boleslav (Chinese: young city) is now a veritable Czech automobile city. In 1995, the Volkswagen Group bought Skoda and built a new factory dedicated to the production of the Octavia and Fabia, one of the oldest car factories in the world that had existed for nearly 100 years.

On April 16, 1991, Skoda became a subsidiary of the German Volkswagen Group of Companies, and the Volkswagen Group purchased 70% of the shares of Skoda, and the remaining 30% of the shares were acquired in 2000, and Skoda became the fourth largest brand of Volkswagen after Volkswagen (VW), Audi (AUDI) and SEAT (Seat).

A once-glorious luxury car

In order to meet the luxury needs of the aristocratic and wealthy after the war, in the 20s and 30s of the 20th century, the high-end luxury cars produced by Skoda left a strong mark in the history of the world automobile industry. In 1924, Skoda licensed the production of the Hispano Suiza, the most expensive car in the world at the time, with a chassis price even more expensive than the Rolls-Royce at the time.

Volkswagen's new force

After 1989, with the change of the Czech economic system, Skoda once again began to look for a strong partner. From 1991 to 2000, after several shareholding changes, Skoda became a wholly owned subsidiary of Volkswagen. Since then, with the help of Volkswagen's technical advantages and management experience, Skoda has re-established its high-quality and personalized image, made great progress in quality and marketing, and even became the world's best-selling car. Volkswagen changed the Skoda car, saved the Skoda company, and changed the impression of Skoda.
