Louis ROYER (Louis Royer)

Louis Royer grew up in a house on the banks of the Charente in Jardnac. From an early age, he was familiar with the vineyard and the process of making and distilling wine. At the age of 20, he worked as a wine cabinet master. In 1853, at the age of 24, he established a cognac factory in the place where he grew up. He first established a brewery, and soon after built a distillery for a cooperage. Four generations followed. In 1989, the company was acquired by Suntory. Today, Louis Roiselles is the seventh largest company in the cognac market with 58 employees and an annual turnover of 60 million francs. Their trademark is a bee.

Their cognacs are aged in Limousin oak casks (70%) and Toransey oaks (30%) at 50-55 degrees, of which 5% are new.Almost all sales were exported (France accounted for only 1%), about 662,500 gallons, to Europe, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and South Korea. In 1996, its XO won a bronze medal at the Best of the World in Montreal and a gold medal at the 1992 Grand Wine Competition in Lausanne, Switzerland. XO is a blend of large and small champagnes and bolderries.

Suntory Japan:Founded in 1899, Suntory Co., Ltd. began selling whisky as early as 1929, pioneering Japanese sake culture. Since then, Suntory has continued to take on challenges and strive to provide customers with high-quality products. In 1963, Suntory entered the field of beer production and sales. In 1981, Suntory began producing and selling "Oolong Tea", a specialty of China's Fujian Province, in Japan, and thus pioneered a new field of sugar-free tea in the soft drinks market.

Then, in 1994, Suntory took on the challenge of "high quality and low price" and established the Japanese sparkling wine market. Then, in 1998, we succeeded in developing orange juice drinks that reduced calories by 30%. Suntory offers a wide variety of alcoholic beverages and soft drinks to the market.

Suntory is not only satisfied with its achievements in the whisky, beer, wine, and food industries, but also actively participates in projects such as flowers, health food, sports, and publishing, greatly enriching people's lives.
