Founded in 1992, Huangshan Houkeng Tea Industry Co., Ltd. (formerly known as Huangshan District Xinming Monkey Village Tea Farm) is a well-known enterprise that produces, processes and operates Taiping Houkui series tea, and is a "China Time-honored Brand" unit authorized by the Ministry of Commerce.In 2001, the company registered the trademark of "Monkey Pit" brand Taiping Houkui. The company has passed the ISO9001:2000 international quality management system certification, organic product certification, QS food quality and safety certification, good agricultural practice certification and China tea enterprise AA credit rating certification.
The company has a registered capital of 20 million yuan, fixed assets of more than 6,000 yuan (excluding intangible assets), more than 1,600 acres of tea gardens (of which 800 acres of tea gardens have passed the organic product standard certification), 5 clean chemical processing plants, and five bases such as Monkey Pit, Monkey Gang, Yanjia, Dongkeng, and Wangwangling. Taiping Houkui purification and packaging workshop, standardized and clean production plant, comprehensive office building and tea culture building have been built. It is planned to build a new 1,500-square-meter comprehensive building integrating production, processing and reception in the core production area of Houkeng, and the second phase of the park's production plant and staff dormitory building are also under construction.
The company also invested more than 8 million yuan in Wushi Township, Huangshan District, to build the Huangshan Maofeng base, and strive to revitalize the Huangshan Maofeng tea while promoting the industrialization of Taiping Houkui, so as to benefit the vast number of tea farmers in the region.
