Founded in 1824, Cadbury is a long-established confectionery manufacturer in Birmingham, England, one of the oldest chocolate brands in the United Kingdom and the largest chocolate producer in the United Kingdom. It is currently the world's largest candy company. The second largest chewing gum company, the third largest soft drink company, and the only one that owns chocolate, candy and chewing gum products at the same time.

Cadbury mainly produces Cadbury chocolate, Ealino toffee and Tempo grained sugar. Bold chewing gum, Holland series, and Viggo C series.

Cadbury and Schweppes merged in 1969 and have since embarked on their global growth plans. Cadbury Schweppes is the world's third-largest soft drinks company by volume, with its own bottling plants and co-ops in 10 countries, as well as licensed operating and distribution contracts with local players in 21 countries.

On 19 January 2010, Kraft agreed to acquire Cadbury for £8.4 per share, including £5 in cash and 0.1874 new Kraft shares in exchange for one Cadbury share, with a total value of approximately £11.7 billion (US$19.7 billion).
